Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, has won the Kwara State All Progressives Congress governorship primary election.
He polled over 94,000 votes to emerge as the party's candidate for the forthcoming governorship election. Danladi-Salihu defeated his closest rival, Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahya-Seriki, who scored 41,700 votes, while former APC Chairman Bashir Bolarinwa placed third with 22,118 votes.
The results were announced today by Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, who served as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Kwara APC governorship primary election. The declaration confirms Danladi-Salihu as the APC's flagbearer in Kwara State ahead of the next gubernatorial poll.
